Major Duties
The typical season for this position is May - September but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. The anticipated entry on duty is May 2026. If selected, you will work as an Engineering Equipment Operator, WG-5716-08 for the Roads team at Denali National Park and Preserve. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Operates and maintains a variety of heavy engineering equipment including bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, trench diggers, dump trucks, tractor, and trailers with a GVWR up to or exceeding 50,000 lbs. on varied terrain. Incumbents may be required to work at odd hours, at night or very early in the morning. Other duties as required by the position may include manual labor to install culverts or other road features.
