The Boeing Commercial Airplane, BCA Systems Organization is seeking a high performing Environmental Control Systems Manager(Level - K). This role will support the team at the Everett, Washington location.
Position Overview:
This manager will lead and inspire a group of employees performing engineering, technical, and regulatory tasks in the areas of BCA Systems. The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for the team, and acquiring financial and technical resources. This role includes a significant level of mentoring, developing and motivating direct reports.
Candidates applying for this position should be comfortable providing technical and project management of both Boeing employees and suppliers, as well as leading process improvement activities and utilizing cutting-edge methods for managing team workload and resources. The ability to develop and maintain positive and healthy relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports is a key attribute to being successful in this role.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BCA Airplane Systems Design Center or Platform/Program teams.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing.
Provides technical and project oversight of suppliers.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes.
Leads and fosters process improvements.
Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop and motivate employees.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.
3+ years of engineering leadership experience in the aerospace industry.
Experience or Familiarization with the certification of 14 CFR part 25 wide body commercial aerospace products.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
3+ years of experience in the development, integration, and verification of aircraft system
Experience working in an engineering management within the aerospace industry.
Master’s Degree in an engineering related field or Business Administration (MBA).
Experience with or a desire to learn Agile project management methods.
Experience with or a desire to learn and implement more Model-Based Engineering (MBE) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.

$151,000 - 205,000
