He/she offers guidance and advice to the company (management and employees) on Health & Safety and Environmental matters in a professional and efficient manner.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions & Accountabilities:
Review, write, update and implement the company’s Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance.
About environment:
- Set up metrics on environment costs, and calculate ROI
- Establish 4-5 years plans on environment and energy strategy.
Perform hazard identification and risk assessment of processes and practices that the company undertakes and offer guidance for the preparation of safe systems that meets current and foreseen EHS legislation.
In collaboration with the production team, perform the EHS accident and incident analyses.
Perform EHS training including writing, reviewing, revising and delivering materials and training sessions for continued compliance.
Carry out the secretariat for the Health and Safety Committee (CPPT) and write the different reports. Provide back-up in the absence of the EHS Manager
Provide support to employees by advising and reporting on relevant aspects of EHS matters including provision and dissemination of current EHS information.
Offer suitable guidance when Health & Safety issues are encountered in order to meet current and foreseen legislation.
In coordination with EHS Manager, deal with the subcontractors to ensure the coordination of EHS work on site.
Assist the EHS Manager with occupational Health Doctor to ensure the staff health surveillance as required by the legislation.
Review and update the Waste Management System periodically.
Collect information, provide metrics and assist the EHS Manager with EHS matters reporting as required by the organization.
Participate to EHS conference call meetings.
Assist the EHS Manager with any ad hoc EHS duties and projects.

Technical skills
Intermediate to advanced skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to read and understand highly technical material documentations as well as regulation texts

Education:
Technical background preferred (technical orientation A2, bachelor with ideally electro-mechanical, or electricity orientation), or other background with relevant experience
Safety advisor level 2 certificate minimum
