The opportunity
The Team Leader Environmental Health plays a pivotal leadership
role, guiding a team of Environmental Health Officers to deliver
high‑quality, customer‑focused services that protect public health.
This role blends people leadership with strong technical and
regulatory expertise, ensuring statutory obligations are met while
supporting positive health outcomes for the community.
What you’ll be doing

Lead, coach and support Environmental Health Officers in
day‑to‑day operations

Oversee statutory compliance across food safety, public
health and environmental legislation

Plan and manage inspections, investigations, programs and
complex complaints
-
Build strong relationships with community, industry and
government stakeholders

Drive service improvements, policy development and
risk‑based initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
-
Extensive experience as an Environmental Health Officer or
equivalent
-
Proven people leadership and team management
experience
-
Strong knowledge of environmental and public health
legislation
-
Excellent communication, judgement and problem‑solving
skills
-
Relevant tertiary qualification with eligibility for
professional membership (EHA/EHPA)

Pre-Employment Requirements
Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National
Police Record Check, a current Victorian Drivers Licence & a

rights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitment
