Job Description Summary
The Senior Project Manager - Environmental Remediation position is focused on sites with impacted groundwater, soils, and related environmental issues. The Project Manager is responsible for managing investigation and remediation of projects within GE Aerospace’s portfolio of legacy sites. The role requires oversight and coordination with a cross functional team of external consultants. This role reports to a Legacy Sites Team Leader.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of all remediation activities required to effectively implement projects.
- Manage diverse portfolio of sites for GE Aerospace primarily in North America with legacy contamination.
- Work closely with GE Aerospace project counsel on all remedial site matters.
- Optimize mix of internal and external resources to provide best value for company while effectively managing risks (financial, regulatory, and reputation).
- Manage financial requirements (budget, reserves) ensuring accurate estimates and timely reporting of reserve early warnings and budget changes.
- Interact with government regulators and external environmental community
- Provide strategic direction for projects and provide progress, strategic, and financial updates to management on the remedial sites.
- Experienced in contracting and contract management
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, provincial, and other applicable environmental regulations.
- Experience interacting with senior government regulators and the external environmental community
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success in coordinating technical, financial, reputational, and legal components of projects.
- Support other projects and priorities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Sciences
- Minimum 10 years project management experience on environmental projects
- Knowledge of regulatory framework governing environmental work in the United States and Knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) reserving requirements.

Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside GE (customers and regulatory agencies).

- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Familiarity with Lean Management practices, and a willingness to embrace the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK lean operating model.
- Established project management skills.
- Ability to communicate using English.
The base pay range for this position is $137,000.00 - 182,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on 4/26/26.
