The skilled artisans at Heritage Stoneworks handcraft sandstone blocks for use in the maintenance of our state’s most impressive historic buildings. Their work will also encompass the installation of these blocks on site, and all associated craft skills. It ensures that more than 800 heritage-significant sandstone buildings across NSW remain culturally significant and operational such as schools, hospitals and courthouses.

The role
The Manager Work Health and Safety Quality & Environment is responsible for the development, continuous improvement and implementation of Work Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental (WHSQ&E) systems, frameworks and practices to support safe, compliant and high-quality operations, enabling Heritage Stoneworks (HSW) to deliver its services while effectively managing risk, meeting regulatory obligations and fostering a positive safety culture.

You will bring contemporary knowledge of best practice WHSQ&E management approaches with a safety and wellbeing focus and demonstrated experience developing, implementing and evaluating organisational development initiatives associated with WHSQ&E, employee engagement, and inclusion and capacity to develop knowledge in online training delivery and management systems, such as HammerTech or similar.
Essential requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in related field for WHS, Safety, Quality and Environmental and relevant working experience in the Construction Industry.
- Accredited in ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, or actively working towards these accreditations
- Current OHS Construction Induction White Card
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Driver licence and willing and able to travel within NSW
