GLOW Seasonal Crew
Located in the heart of Western Sydney, Sydney Zoo strives to showcase a broad range of native and exotic animals using technology and advanced exhibit design, with a strong focus on animal welfare, conservation, and educating our visitors about animals and their habitats. Environmental and social awareness play a vital role in our message that highlights the indigenous culture and human influence on the environment.
The Position
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the casual crew at Sydney Zoo's biggest and brightest light festival in Western Sydney- GLOW 2026!! With new installations, audio experiences and immersive interactive elements, we need YOU to help us deliver this amazing event!
We are looking for motivated, friendly, attentive individuals with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service to join our Visitor Experience, Food & Beverage and Cleaning Crew!
The seasonal positions will be required for the evenings and weekends across the duration of the event fromFriday, 8th May 2026 until Sunday 14th June 2026.A limited number of further work opportunities may be available for outstanding candidates to stay on at Sydney Zoo on a regular casual basis.
We will be holding group interviews on the evening/night of Tuesday 21st April for all positions and will be unable to accommodate an alternative dates should you not be able to attend.
Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience
ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience operating registers, POS systems, and cash handling.
- Outgoing and friendly personality, with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Can-do positive attitude and a quick learner who will make a fast start in the role.
- Must have good availability for rosters.
- Demonstrated judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills (written & verbal).
- Knowledge and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity.
- Full Covid-19 Vaccination in adherence with the Sydney Zoo Vaccination Policy.
- Legal working rights in Australia.
- Previous experience in the hospitality/food service industry (Desirable)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Accreditation (Desirable)
