· Routine Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on solar panels, inverters, racking, and tracking systems under supervision. Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Work Order Management: Accurately record all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including work order creation, updates, and closure.
· Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices to minimize risks.
· Reporting: Assist in preparing reports on maintenance activities, including documenting issues encountered, solutions implemented, and recommendations for future work.
· Learning & Development: Engage in on-the-job training to develop technical skills and knowledge in solar plant operations. Participate in company-provided training programs to advance to higher levels within the solar technician career path.
· Equipment Handling: Assist in handling and organizing tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance tasks. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with higher-level technicians and the Site Lead to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Follow instructions and seek guidance when needed to ensure safe and accurate execution of work.
· Physical Work: Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying items up to 50 lbs. Work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Basic understanding of electrical systems and mechanical aptitude.
· Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols and company procedures.
· Ability to accurately document work activities and follow instructions.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
· Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
· Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
· Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.
· Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 50 lbs.
· Comfort working in confined spaces and exposed to inclement weather conditions.
The Site Technician will be located onsite at various wind/solar/BESS facilities in the US.
· Position requires extended periods of standing and walking.
