This is your opportunity to become an essential member of the team at a rapidly growing specialist renewable energy developer. With our fourth geothermal power plant completed, and further projects in the planning stages, we’re looking for an exceptional leader to take on this career-defining role.
What you’ll be doing
As Eastland Generation’s Geothermal Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of new geothermal development projects: from business case, development, concept selection and engineering design, through to procurement, construction, commissioning and commercial operations.
You will:
- Provide strong leadership, guiding and developing the project delivery team.
- Manage the scoping, procurement, selection and management of project equipment suppliers, constructors, contractors and consultants across the civil, station, mechanical and electrical elements of the project.
- Be responsible for meeting technical, commercial, regulatory and health and safety requirements.
- Apply robust project management and financial reporting practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including internal teams, iwi and hapū, landowners, regulators, local council, contractors and consultants.
Who we’re looking for
This is a rare opening for a uniquely experienced candidate. You will have extensive project management skills gained in the energy sector, demonstrable commercial acumen, and a CV that’s strong on successful delivery.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management and large scale infrastructure projects, with deep knowledge of the geothermal energy and electricity sectors.
- A track record of working within the geothermal industry’s regulatory, consenting, health and safety and environmental frameworks. This includes major hazard facility, pressure vessel and pipeline and electrical regulations.
- Proven experience leading the delivery of complex projects across the full life cycle, from concept to handover, and working with multi-disciplinary technical teams.
- A Bachelor of Engineering or related discipline is essential. Formal leadership or management training is desirable.
- Advanced in Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with contract management systems or ERP Platforms (SAP or similar) is also preferred.
- Full driver’s licence and first aid certificate.
