The Opportunity
Infravision is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Project Engineer who is passionate about innovation in the energy industry to join our Australian team. The successful individual will form an integral part of the Sales Function and operate across the Asia Pacific jurisdiction, delivering and representing Infravision products and values.
Collaborating with our Operations, Engineering and Marketing teams, this role will support the Regional Director in the pursuit of sales opportunities within Australia and the Asia Pacific region. This Project Engineer role will be focused on the preparation for and execution of customer meetings by providing technical SME knowledge relating to Infravision products and their application within customer environments. Additionally, this role will work with customers and lead the pre-sales planning for project delivery with our customers and ensure an effective handover has been completed to the Infravision Operations function for project execution.
Infravision’s Australian offices are located in Sydney and the Sunshine Coast however, at Infravision we offer a highly flexible working environment with remote work being available for all staff.
This is a position that will require the candidate to occasionally travel to remote construction sites and travel across Australia and across the Asia Pacific region to meet with customers.

What you’ll do
Working under the direction of the Regional Director Australia,, your will be required to:
- Provide technical subject matter expertise support to the sales leads on the Infravision drone stringing (TX System) product during customer meetings and interactions.
- Lead the development and input of technical aspects of Infravision proposals and scopes of work through activities such as quantifying estimates related to engineering / operations costs/resource requirements for project/proposal bids).
- Navigate through our customers various business units fostering strong relationships as the Infravision technical SME and source additional opportunities for Infravision through these relationships.
- Lead the handover from Sales to Operations for project implementation following contract execution.
- Lead the customer facing pre and/or post project ROI analysis to support the expansion business case for Infravision products.
- Workshop and collate product feedback and request data from customers to inform the Infravision product development roadmap.
- Liaise with internal Operations, Engineering and Manufacturing and lead the creation of any new and improvement of existing technical materials or collateral required to support the sales funnel.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years experience in an electric transmission (preferred) or distribution line construction role (e.g., project engineer, construction manager, delivery manager etc.)
- Direct experience executing or overseeing electric transmission stringing operations
- Able and willing to conduct intermittent travel across Australia
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able and willing to engage with both senior business executives and front-line project managers
- Ability to successfully facilitate challenging customer conversations whilst maintaining positive relationships.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and if required surge effort/hours to meet customer timelines/schedules.
Highly Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or other applicable engineering discipline
- Experience in project management, construction management and/or project scheduling relating to transmission or distribution construction.
- Experience in a customer facing commercial business development or pre-sales role
