The opportunity
Infravision is looking for an enthusiastic and committed RPAS/UAS Pilot who is passionate about utilizing uncrewed systems to conduct construction activities and supporting customers in North America.
The successful individual will form an integral part of the North American Operations team based in Austin, TX and operate in the field across the North American jurisdiction, delivering and representing Infravision products and values.
Collaborating with our Sales, Engineering and Marketing team, this role will additionally support product development, customer training and customer deal cycles across the North American and Asia Pacific regions.
Infravision’s US headquarters is located in Austin, TX and the successful candidate will be expected to work in the Austin area, however remote applicants may be considered.
This is a field based position that will require the candidate to occasionally operate in remote construction sites with travel throughout the US, Canada and potentially Asia Pacific region. This person will report to the Operations Manager - North America.

What you’ll do
- Conduct flight operations utilizing heavy-lift UAS as Remote Pilot in Command
- Conduct field operations with Infravision’s products
- Work, collaborate and innovate with Infravision pilots and operators
- Provide field support to Infravision’s customers
- Deliver internal and customer flight crew training, proficiency and currency on Infravision products
- Provide subject matter expertise in UAS and TX System training, UAS operations, construction site integration, UAS and payload products
- Maintain regulatory compliance for aviation operations
- Support the development of Infravision products and services
- Support the Infravision business development and sales team as subject matter expert
- Conduct UAS and product repairs, maintenance and upgrades
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in military, commercial or public UAS operations preferably involving electrical utility or complex operations
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the FAA regulatory framework
- Experience with technical or engineering record keeping methods and tools and an understanding of the regulatory record keeping requirements
- Hold current 14 CFR Part 107 remote pilot certificate
Highly Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in electrical transmission or distribution maintenance, construction and repair
- Experience and qualification in instructional roles, preferably aviation
- Experience with the testing, integration or development of industrial products or field robotics
- Hold a private or commercial pilot certificate
- Experience within the previous 3 years as a Part 135 or Part 121 PIC or Military Command Pilot for crewed or uncrewed operations.
- Prior experience and qualification as a Part 121 or 135 or Military Instructor
Company Expectations
- Able and willing to qualify as an Infravision pilot-in-command in the United States and Canada.
- Able and enthusiastic to operate in construction environments in a range of conditions to deliver field services
- A commitment to demonstrating and operating to the highest level of safety and quality.
- Able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English
- Willing and able to deploy and travel throughout North America and globally.
- Willingness to work some weekends and public holidays
- Current driver’s license
- Current passport with no restrictions
- Hold current 14 CFR Part 107 remote pilot certificate
- Willing and able to complete an employee background check and pass regular illicit substance testing
- A determination to work with, recruit and foster the development of diverse teams
