Job Title: Senior Power Electronics Controls Engineer
The Role:
· Develop the HIL test platform for the power conversion of on-board charging system.
· Model the various AC/DC and DC/DC topologies using the HIL test platforms.
· Develop and verify control strategies using the HIL platform.
· Be in depth in the power electronics and control theory and be able to conduct theoretically analysis using the HIL platform.
· Develop the automated HIL test cases using scripts and validate the results according to the requirement.
Qualifications:
· PhD degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar technical field is required.
· In-depth knowledge of different power electronics topology for AC/DC and DC/DC conversion, such as PFC, DAB, LLC, etc.
· Hands on experience in developing industrial HIL test platform with Typhoon, RT-Box or other industrial HIL platforms.
· Be familiar with FPGA and core optimization on the HIL platform.
· Experience in the hardware design to develop schematic and PCB layout for the HIL system.
· Experienced in MATLAB Simulink and PLECS simulation tools.
· Develop simulation model for power electronics and control. Familiar with PID controller tunning/design, feedforward control, lead compensator and cascade control.
· Design the control performance requirements according to the electrical system requirements.
· Conduct theoretical analysis and experiments to optimize the power converter efficiencies.
· Experience with Embedded software development for low latency software, particularly with C language and with TI or Infineon microcontrollers.
· Experience with writing automation test scripts using Python for high voltage electrical loads and power supplies equipment.
· Need to be comfortable to work on the high voltage system and be aware of high voltage safety.
· Proficiency with Jama, Jira/Confluence.
· Good organization and presentation skills.
