DescriptionClean Harborsin Fort McMurray, AB is looking for an InSite Supervisor to join our Hazardous Waste Team on both the Suncor Base Plant and Syncrude site. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site operations, managing equipment and materials, and providing direct supervision to the InSite Chemists (2) and InSite Technicians (2) on shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all onsite activities at both sites.
Schedule: Must be willing to work a 10 on & 10 off schedule, 12hrs/day; Camp accommodations provided, fly in fly out available.

Responsibilities- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Oversee activities in the Hazardous Waste Storage areas, ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations and oversee daily site operations at Base Plant and Syncrude
- Research and interpret relevant legislation, regulations and standards applicable to hazardous waste programs and TDG.
- Maintaining excellent relations with the waste coordinators and onsite customers through proactive communication, including clarifying job specific requirements, obtaining feedback on progress and promptly adapting to any changes in scope or customer direction .
- Responsible for mentoring, training and supporting InSite Chemists and InSite technicians.
- Communicate with the InSite Operation Manager to ensure obligations, projects, operations, personnel are supported.
- Responsible for overseeing the completion of all applicable paperwork and data entry for job activity, including but not limited to worksheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, health and safety JHAs, FLRAs, and any permits as required.
- Support or lead incident reporting and investigations. Actively promote near miss and incident reporting. Encourage safety program engagement.
- Oversee Electronic logs System. Manage and monitor Hours of Service compliance.
- Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in the operational procedures to complete assignments.
- Encourage and participate in continuous improvement opportunities to support operational excellence and team development.
Qualifications- 3+ Years’ experience in a supervisor role.
- Class 1 or 3 License is an asset with experience operating manual transmission.
- Knowledge of Federal Canadian Federal Hours of Service (HOS) andElectronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
- Some knowledge of Hazardous Waste Management is an asset.
- Proficiency in standard software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to learn and navigate specialized systems or applications relevant to operations
- Willing to travel on a 10 on and 10 off schedule, 12hrs/day; Camp accommodations provided.
