Job Description
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems across diverse, large-scale projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to drive innovative, high-performance solutions. You will serve as a technical leader, ensuring alignment between project objectives, design excellence, and Performance-Based Design principles. Through mentorship, technical expertise, and client engagement, you will shape project success while contributing to the growth of both people and practice.
Deliver Results
- Lead the development of complex electrical engineering designs and specifications aligned with project goals and performance standards.
- Oversee project delivery from concept through construction, including RFIs, submittals, and construction administration activities.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure integrated and conflict-free solutions.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to define scope, schedule, budget, and resource plans for large-scale projects.
- Engage clients to understand needs, translate objectives into design strategies, and build long-term partnerships.
- Conduct feasibility studies, performance analyses, and risk assessments to inform project decisions.
- Ensure all documentation meets QA/QC standards, regulatory requirements, and Progressive’s Performance Based Design principles.
- Lead code reviews and coordinate with governing agencies to ensure compliance.
- Mentor and guide engineering staff, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
- Lead or support field inspections to verify construction aligns with design intent.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 15+ years of experience leading complex electrical engineering projects.
- Proven expertise in designing and delivering large-scale electrical systems, including power distribution and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and construction documentation with experience leading QA/QC efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage project scope/budget/schedule, and build strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD products; comfortable leveraging technology to improve design quality and efficiency.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team development.
