Introduction
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Environmental Engineer position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on a part-time basis 16-32 hours per week on-site for a duration of 10 Months.
In this dynamic role, the Engineer I supports the program implementation for the nonhazardous and regulated waste programs for the company's Parks, Hotels and offsite locations. Routine work includes regulatory review and feedback, TSDF audits, maintaining waste profiles, preparing reports for government agencies, and developing internal standards and communication pieces. You will have an advanced understanding of the federal, state, and local solid waste regulatory frameworks and expertise working with internal partners and regulating agencies.
The Engineer will manage the company's compliance programs for State Air Resources Board (ARB) regulations, examples are:
- AB32 GHG mandatory reporting
- In-Use off-road diesel vehicle
- Off-road large spark ignition fleet
- AB32 truck and trailer
- Zero emission forklift
- Heavy duty truck inspection and maintenance
- Small off-road engine (project specific)
- Portable diesel equipment
- Transport refrigeration unit
- Open blasting media certification
- Gasoline facility vapor recovery system certification
- AB32 Low Carbon Fuel Standard
- Advanced Clean Fleet (once resumed)
- AB32 Cap-n- Invest (for future compliance)
- AB32 Cold Storage (for future compliance)
- Complete quarterly activity report for GHG emission to Corp
- Monitor ARB mobile vehicle rulemaking activity and provide update to DLR leadership
- Work with various LOBs to prepare justification for non-clean fuel applications and obtain approval from Corp Legal
- Identify ARB/AQMD clean air project funding opportunities and engage with DLR LOB to pursue
- Perform internal environmental field audit if directed
