Job Description:
VP P&C, Aviation, Biofuels Growth & Low Carbon Energy is an exciting opportunity with a diverse portfolio, where you'll partner with 3 sub-entity SVP’s and geographically dispersed leadership teams to define and deliver bp strategy, organisational change, and agreed people priorities.
You'll collaborate across the People & Culture function to define, prioritize, and deliver key initiatives, driving business performance through demonstrable value on people initiatives.
Role Accountabilities
Translate bp-wide people plan into entity/sub-entity context and turn into actionable activities.
Partner with senior leaders to define the sub-entity specific strategic people needs and maintain the business intimacy required to input critical requirements into entity prioritization.
Execution of agreed priorities into sub-entity, employing and leading partnering resources and CoE resources as required.
Lead on strategic resourcing plans to ensure all critical leadership and development opportunities are filled with a focus on future skills
Provide leadership and expertise in Talent Management and Performance Management
Focus on engagement and regularly measure and respond to feedback.
Promote diversity, equity and inclusion, assessing people policies to ensure fair and equal application
Foster positive employee relations and create an environment for listening and two-way communication
Leverage best practices and agile methodologies to maximize value of project delivery and identifies efficiencies and opportunities for synergies by connecting across P&C teams
Ensure personal and team compliance with safety and ethical rules and processes while demonstrating exemplary display of bp’s values and behaviours
Enable a compliant and high-performance culture through aligned performance management, reward and recognition frameworks, managing the delivery of integrated reward/recognition solutions to the business and overseeing the annual reward process
Strategic partnership with senior leaders to provide coaching and enhance the leaderships capabilities, organizational culture and talent outcomes essential for the successful business performance
Drive the migration of P&C activity to Business and Technology Centres, focusing on efficiency through migration of activity and automation while ensuring the provision of end-to-end P&C services to the relevant business/sub-entity meets the strategic needs of the business.
Leverage data and insights to enable prioritization and future-focused thinking.
Develop talent, capability, culture, and organizational effectiveness initiatives in partnership with the relevant CoEs to ensure future business needs are met.
About you!
Degree or equivalent experience professional qualification. Post graduate qualification in Human Resources or a connected subject area would be advantageous
A significant number of years experience gained across a range of people & culture disciplines within commercial and operational environments.
Behavioural skills:
Experience of coaching and influencing senior executives.
Experience driving talent, culture, and engagement for the future of the business.
Technical skills:
Experience driving successful people outcomes in complex, geographically dispersed, and culturally diverse organizations.
Experience developing and delivering commercially focused people strategies.
Advanced knowledge of multiple facets of people & culture.
Experience as a senior level business partner.
Experience driving innovative, organizational change in complex, ambiguous environments.
