Electrical Superintendent – Field Construction (Confidential Project)
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on a large-scale construction project. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget—while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily field operations for electrical and instrumentation scopes
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors to meet project schedules and contractual requirements
- Manage installation activities including raceway, cable tray, switchgear, transformers, grounding, and low/medium voltage systems
- Oversee instrumentation, calibrations, loop checks, and electrical/control testing
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards; review PTAs and TSOs regularly
- Monitor productivity, materials, and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency
- Coordinate with project management to implement procedures, resolve RFIs, and manage field changes
- Maintain accurate daily reports and document construction progress
- Review and verify material deliveries, storage, and installation quality
- Develop punch lists, track project progress, and ensure use of current drawing revisions
- Build strong relationships with clients, engineers, and subcontractors
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Superintendent on industrial or large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of low and medium voltage systems, instrumentation, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and P&IDs
- Demonstrated leadership in managing subcontractors and field crews
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and QA/QC processes
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
