Summary
This position is one of two maintenance supervisors reporting directly to the Chief of Maintenance. Key operations include administration/public use buildings, campgrounds and employees' quarters, paved and unpaved backcountry roads, wooden bridges and paved trails and boardwalks, water/wastewater treatment plant, public water systems, water and sewer lines, road and trail signs. Additionally, this position oversees maintenance for the district's vehicle and heavy equipment fleet.
Major Duties
You would supervise a diverse team of trades and labor employees across maintenance, utilities, equipment operations, and custodial functions. You would provide technical expertise in utilities, trades, and facility operations, including electrical, HVAC, water systems, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds maintenance. You would manage a wide range of administrative responsibilities such as staffing actions, work planning, performance management, scheduling, budgeting input, payroll approval, purchasing, and data reporting. You may also serve as a Project Supervisor, COR, or ATR for facility-related contracts and agreements. Additional Information - Physical Demands: Most work is in an office environment, but incumbent will also work with journeymen, frequently lifting heavy objects and driving trucks and heavy equipment. Working Conditions: Incumbent will be exposed to all kinds of weather extremes and temperatures. Do not submit photographs with your application package.
