About This Role:
Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Product Quality Manager - Contract Manufacturing & Supplier Quality is responsible for developing and leading a robust contract manufacturing and supplier quality management program. This role ensures that all sourced products, materials, and components meet Crusoe’s stringent quality standards while supporting the organization's growing strategic supplier requirements.
As a critical leader, you will drive continuous improvement across the contract manufacturing supply base, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. You will serve as a key partner to the Senior Director of Program Management, the Director of Engineering, and executive stakeholders to maintain product integrity and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a supplier quality vision and long-term strategy aligned with organizational goals and risk mitigation.
Supplier Management: Establish and maintain robust programs for supplier selection, development, monitoring, and performance scorecards.
Quality Systems: Implement incoming material reviews, CAPA processes, and traceability protocols to enable effective root cause analysis.
Standards & Compliance: Establish supplier quality systems consistent with ISO 9001 or similar standards and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (such as UL 891).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Procurement, Technology, R&D, and Operations to ensure suppliers meet specifications during volume ramps and resolve systemic process breakdowns.
Performance Tracking: Define and track KPIs for supplier quality, presenting data-driven insights and risk assessments to senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of quality and provide training to employees on process improvement and quality matters.
Risk Mitigation: Conduct assessments for critical suppliers and develop contingency strategies for quality-related supply chain disruptions.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in supplier quality within a manufacturing/industrial environment, plus 5+ years in a leadership role managing team performance and development.
Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of Supplier Quality best practices, contract manufacturing management, and the ability to evaluate technical supplier capabilities.
System Knowledge: Experience developing and implementing supplier scorecards, performance dashboards, and quality improvement roadmaps.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across functions.
Operational Attributes: Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, manage conflict, and approve/disqualify vendors based on data-driven criteria.
Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required. Must be able to pass a background check.
Bonus Points:
Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/QE).
Expertise in ISO 9001, UL 891, and Lean Six Sigma tools.
Direct experience developing and administering a full Quality Management System (QMS).

Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $99,750 - $114,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
