About This Role:
Crusoe Energy is seeking an accomplished and proactive Shipping Lead to join our dynamic and fast-paced team in Arvada. This individual will take a strategic leadership role, responsible for scheduling, arranging, and coordinating complex logistics operations across the company, focusing on inbound freight and outbound deployment.
This role is critical for optimizing our transportation efficiency, owning carrier relationships, and providing leadership to the overall logistics staff. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in transportation and supply chain management and thrives in an agile environment where cross-collaboration is the key to successfully deploying our modular data centers.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Strategic Dispatch & Transportation: Schedule and optimize the dispatch of equipment and materials. Manage freight agreements, selecting and negotiating with carriers to minimize risk and cost.
Route & Load Planning: Plan inbound and outbound routing and trailer optimization for multi-stop and high-volume deliveries.
Packaging Department Oversight: Lead the wrapping and packaging team to ensure all products are secure and presentation-ready. Implement best practices for pallet stability and load protection.
Carrier Performance: Evaluate carrier and supplier performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery rates, damage-free rates, and freight cost efficiency.
Logistics Leadership: Oversee all logistics functions, including shipping, receiving, and packaging. Manage personnel scheduling, performance, and development while promoting a safety-first culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality to forecast equipment needs and coordinate complex deployment schedules.
Operational Excellence: Analyze logistics data to identify improvements in throughput and material flow. Lead Kaizen events and maintain 5S standards in shipping areas.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure 100% adherence to DOT regulations and internal transport policies, maintaining audit-ready traceability for all shipments.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or an equivalent field is required.
Experience: Extensive experience in logistics coordination and transportation management, preferably in the energy or heavy industrial sectors.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of freight modes (LTL, FTL, heavy haul, and international) and supply chain procedures.
Leadership & Problem Solving: Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and solve high-stakes logistical hurdles.
Metrics & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to design and build reports for KPI and OKR tracking and proven ownership of transport agreements.
Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required. Must be able to pass a background check.
Bonus Points:
Experience managing a departmental logistics budget.
Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
Direct experience with heavy haul equipment coordination and specialized permitting.

Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $33.32 - $37.02 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
