Minimum of 5years managing development programmes either in the private or public sector.

At least a first degree in Finance, International Development or Sustainability.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including report-writing skills.

Ability to engage with development partners, governmental, NGO and other senior leaders.

Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, and ability to work with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.

Basic understanding of impact investing and its ability to drive social development.

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (or another main email system such as Microsoft Outlook).

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership and technical oversight over sustainable finance projects to meet the strategic objectives of the Bank. This will include managing donor relations and engagement, sourcing and writing of bids, monitoring and evaluation of programs by ensuring impact of programs sharing of best practices and promoting innovation.

Provide technical support and leadership in sustainable finance strategy formulation, implementation plan, execution and monitoring to ensure alignment with donor and business requirements.

Ensure that the strategy drives funding proposals, and that annual plans and budgets are aligned to the approved program strategy.

Strategic engagement with Fidelity businesses and external stakeholders on program quality.

Support the acquisition of strategic partners and manage a pipeline of partnerships to meet the banks financial and impact goals.

Mobilise public and private finance and foster the development of innovative financial mechanisms.
-
Carry out financial and impact due diligence on partnership opportunities. This may include conducting site visits and working with external advisors where required.

Monitor the programme's investments and maintain financial and impact records for individual projects as well as for the programme, liaising closely with relevant internal stakeholders.

Manage the operational functions of the programme including, monitoring investment drawdowns and income receipts, monitoring programme expenses against budget, contracting with external advisors, managing your customer requirements and keeping accurate records.
Strategy Development and Monitoring

Program planning, assessment and design: provide quality assurance support to projects and lead all assessments and baseline studies to prepare background information and data for design of programs/projects.

Participate in the development of program/project design documents, and development of concept papers and proposals.

Facilitate assessments and operational research for contextual understanding, identifying opportunities, vulnerabilities, capacities and resources, deciding feasibility and setting priorities.
Monitoring and Evaluation and Close out/Transition:

Work with the Research and Impact Management Officer to ensure quality programming and adherence to minimum standards Design, implement and periodically review the impact management plan that ensures grant-funded programs comply with donor metric measurement requirements.
Reporting

Support the process of impact measurement and management by ensuring that all projects are aligned to the standardized tools.

Ensure sustainable finance projects are delivered according to agreed metrics, challenging and revising as a required.

Identify effective ways to communicate the impact of the social investment programme to internal and external stakeholders.
