Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT), seeks a dynamic, driven, and experienced Project Manager who shares our commitment to a comprehensive Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) approach, focused on high quality assessments and client responsiveness. This is a leadership position which includes the oversight of our due diligence teams of writers, field personnel, and other Environmental Professionals (EPs). Our assessments serve clients nationwide, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects and large acreage sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for project/program performance, including client growth and risk management, with a focus on project management standards and continuous project directorship.
- Serve as an experienced EP per ASTM International (ASTM) Standards E1527 and E2247.
- Serve as lead for strategic pursuits in Due Diligence. The role will involve client care, quality assurance/quality control, and scope and budget oversight, as necessary.
- Manage the Phase I ESA process in accordance with internal programs, and in conformance with appropriate ASTM Standards, including technical guidance, cost and proposal management.
- Coordinate scoping and sampling strategies for Phase II ESAs and provide technical guidance during soil, vapor, and groundwater investigations. The preferred candidate would have experience in the risk evaluation of historical oil/gas exploration and historical mining activities.
- Review, manage, and mentor on a wide variety of reports, figures, tables and data management.
- Strong attention to Health and Safety protocols and management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Environmental Permitting and Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the due diligence practice area, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
- Project Management experience required.
- Desire to mentor, train, and manage junior staff.
- Meet the definition of an EP as defined in 40 CFR Part 312.
- Experience and understanding of landowner liability protections and continuing obligations through the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and, Liability Act (CERCLA).
- Prior due diligence experience evaluating and/or investigating oil/gas exploration.
- Experience with redevelopment projects through a brownfield perspective would be a beneficial quality.
SKILLS:
- Leading a team of environmental personnel with a successful record of business management activities.
- Commitment to accuracy and quality and be able to build relationships with a wide variety of people.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient with the use of Google Earth, KMZs, and/or ArcGIS.
- Experience with understanding and navigating state agency regulatory requirements.
