SLR Consulting is an international environmental consultancy with a globally recognised reputation for providing high quality tailored services. With over 1000 staff in APAC across 23 Disciplines, we provide global consultancy advice and support on a wide range of strategic and site-specific issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and governmental clients.
Due to recent wins and a strong pipeline, we’re seeking experienced Senior and Associate Environmental Consultants with extensive experience in Environmental Approvals, looking to work towards a Principal Position in the coming years.
You’ll work across a variety of mining, infrastructure, renewables and development projects throughout WA. The team provides a broad range of project management, environmental impact assessment and environmental advisory services across multiple sectors and clients. In this role you’ll manage project teams, engage with clients and apply your environmental expertise to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
Begging to develop your own client network and work winning ability, you will have 5 - 10 + years’ experience in consulting, government or industry. You will leverage new opportunities from our strong existing client base with the national EAC&M Group (circa 70 staff across 10 offices) and other teams within our multi-disciplinary business.
Responsibilities
You’ll use your 5 - 10 years + experience to make an immediate impact in our thriving team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing advice regarding best practice environmental impact assessment and management principles to clients and internal SLR team members
- Project Management of environmental approvals projects across multiple industries
- Developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members, particularly, across other Technical Disciplines
- Working closely with the Perth team lead to drive team and company growth
- Working within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors
- Delivering clear and precise, high-quality reports
- Occasional travel to undertake field assessments/ site familiarisation walkovers
Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Environmental Science/Management, Environmental Engineering or a related field
- 5-10+ years experience in environmental roles in consulting, industry or regulation
- Demonstrated experience working on or leading multidisciplinary projects
- Thorough knowledge of WA & Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines.
- Experience in the linear infrastructure, mining/resources, renewables, power and/or agribusiness sectors.
- Strong client management expertise and business development skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia
