OVERVIEW: The Sustainability Data & Reporting Analyst supports MarineMax’s ESG strategy by managing the data and insights that drive transparency, compliance, and supplier impact reporting. This role collects, validates, and analyzes climate and ESG data to support disclosures and track progress toward sustainability goals. This role will be responsible for reporting aligned with leading climate and ESG frameworks e.g. TCFD as well as broader regulatory requirements, extended producer responsibility (EPR) programs, and supplier environmental and social impact metrics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data, Reporting & Compliance:
- Collect and validate sustainability data from cross-functional teams to support annual Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG calculations and maintain accurate records in carbon accounting systems.
- Manage climate and ESG disclosure reporting for regulatory, compliance, and voluntary requirements (e.g., TCFD, CDP, rating agencies).
- Work with outside consultants on state-level extended producer responsibility (EPR) reporting.
- Maintain documentation and internal controls for audit-ready, reliable data.
- Sustainability Goals, Metrics & Analytics:
- Develop and maintain sustainability metrics, KPIs, and scorecards that track progress toward company goals.
- Benchmark ESG performance against industry peers and evolving best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Initiatives:
- Support sustainability working groups and cross-functional initiatives focused on emissions reduction, supplier transparency, circularity, and compliance.
- Collaborate across functions to strengthen data processes, enhance system integration, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Engagement, Research & Partnerships:
- Monitor global and regional ESG trends, supplier impact standards, and regulatory developments to keep the team informed.
- Assist in the creation of presentations, briefs, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
KEY SKILLS:
- 2–3 years of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, climate analytics, or data analysis.
- Working knowledge of GHG accounting and climate/ESG frameworks, including TCFD.
- Understanding of supplier environmental and social impact requirements,including audits, assessments, and performance tracking.
- Ability to build, track, and interpret KPIs and sustainability metrics.
