About the Role
The ALS Environmental Division in Crows Nest, Sydney is looking for an Environmental Representative to join our team, dedicated to surpassing the expectations of both internal and external clients. In this varied role you will also have the option to drive a van from Crows Nest to Smithfield to deliver samples each evening.
Reporting to the Client Services Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Greet and assist clients by phone and in person
Receive incoming sample deliveries
Prepare sample container orders for clients
Read and understand client Chain of Custody (CoC) documentation, including analytical testing requirements
Accurately enter receipt information from the client CoC documentation into the ALS LIMS system
Liaising with clients (internal and external) regarding sample submissions, sample container orders and related queries
General office administration duties, including data entry
Manually move samples and eskies around the laboratory utilizing provided equipment (typically around 15kg)
Maintaining an excellent standard of occupational health and safety
Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
The role also potentially requires proficiency in driving a van (automatic). Each evening, you may be responsible for transporting and delivering samples to Smithfield, Sydney.
The required hours for this shift are Monday to Friday, with an 11:00 AM start and 5:30pm finish in Crows Nest, Sydney. There is also the potential to arrange as a full-time role with a 7:15 PM finish in Smithfield, Sydney, to deliver samples to the laboratory each evening.

Ability to process record information efficiently and within strict timeframes
Laboratory or Chemistry experience or qualifications not essential
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Good presentation, professional attitude and attention to detail
Demonstrated reliability and efficiency
A good level of computer literacy (training is provided for internal recording systems)
Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information training.
