Product Manager � Critical Power Solutions (Batteries & DC Technologies)
Position Summary
MEPPI's Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) is looking for a Product Manager to manage the planning, development, launch, and marketing of products and services within CPSD. This role oversees both Engineered Solutions and Standard Solutions across the CPSD portfolio and works closely with internal engineering, sales, service, and marketing teams to ensure product success throughout the lifecycle.
A key focus of this role includes supporting battery and DC technologies used in UPS system. As demand grows for high-reliability power infrastructure supporting AI-enabled data centers and next-generation digital infrastructure, this position plays a critical role in shaping the division�s product strategy and market positioning.
The Product Manager drives market research, product strategy, product launches, and lifecycle management to ensure CPSD solutions remain competitive, innovative, and aligned with customer needs.
What You�ll Do
Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Lead the identification, development, and evolution of products within the CPSD portfolio, including Engineered Solutions and Standard Solutions.
- Plan and coordinate product development initiatives in collaboration with MEPPI and TMEIC engineering and product organizations.
- Develop and propose business cases supporting investments in new product and service offerings.
- Manage product lifecycle activities including enhancements, upgrades, obsolescence planning, and competitive positioning.
Market Research & Customer Insights
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer engagement activities to identify opportunities and guide product strategy.
- Gather customer insights through focus groups, voice-of-the-customer surveys, and industry engagement.
- Monitor industry trends including the growth of AI-driven data centers, energy storage, and advanced UPS technologies.
Product Launch & Marketing
- Lead product launch initiatives in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Service teams.
- Develop product marketing materials, case studies, and technical content for traditional, digital, and social media channels.
- Support internal product training and create sales enablement tools for commercial teams.
- Work with divisional marketing teams to develop and execute lead generation and product promotion campaigns.
Sales & Customer Support
- Provide product expertise and application support to the division�s direct sales team and channel partners.
- Present product capabilities to customers through webinars, industry events, and technical presentations.
- Collaborate with sales teams to address customer requirements and identify solution opportunities.
Planning, Pricing & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and maintain portions of the CPSD price book including product configurations, catalog numbers, and pricing structures.
- Track product performance through sales data, financial reports, and activity metrics.
- Adjust strategies and plans to ensure product-based sales objectives are achieved.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor�s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial sales and marketing of technical capital equipment and related services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market and financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage customers, internal teams, and industry stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of UPS systems, battery technologies, or DC power systems is highly desirable.
