DescriptionThe Consultant – ESG, Climate Change and Carbon will support the delivery of ESG, climate and decarbonisation advisory services for public and private sector clients. The role is designed for an early-career professional who will work within multidisciplinary project teams, contributing to high-quality technical analyses, client deliverables and sustainability strategies aligned with international standards.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the delivery of ESG, climate change and carbon consulting engagements across multiple sectors, working as part of integrated project teams.
Contribute to ESG assessments, including maturity analysis, materiality assessments, gap analysis and peer benchmarking.
Support the development of ESG, climate and decarbonisation strategies, roadmaps and performance improvement plans.
Assist in the preparation of ESG and non-financial disclosures and reports in line with recognised frameworks (e.g. GRI, CSRD, SASB, ISSB, CDP, TCFD).
Conduct environmental and climate-related assessments, including GHG inventories, carbon footprinting, climate risk analysis and related data analysis.
Support environmental footprint and impact assessments, including LCA, carbon and water footprint studies, where applicable.
Provide technical support for ESG-related management systems, audits and supply-chain assessments.
Prepare clear, accurate and well-structured reports, presentations and client deliverables.
Support proposal development and business development activities through research, analysis and technical inputs.
Monitor regulatory developments, market trends and investor expectations related to ESG and climate change.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Energy or Management Engineering, Environmental Science or other relevant discipline with a sustainability focus.
Up to 2–3 years of experience in sustainability, ESG or climate change consulting, or in a related technical or advisory role.
Technical Skills:
Foundational knowledge of ESG and sustainability frameworks and standards (e.g. GRI, BRSR, SASB, ISSB, UN SDGs).
Understanding of climate science, GHG Protocol, Net Zero and science-based target methodologies (SBTi).
Experience or exposure to ESG reporting, GHG accounting, environmental footprinting or climate risk assessments is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with LCA or sustainability software (e.g. SimaPro, GaBi) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to translate technical content into clear written outputs.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work collaboratively within project teams.
Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
