Our client is an innovative aerospace company designing, building, and manufacturing state-of-the-art electric air vehicles capable of transporting passengers. They are rapidly growing their team to successfully deliver next generation transportation systems.
The Job
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer, Battery HV who will own mechanical design on components for future battery pack designs. This role will support sustaining efforts on current battery design and conduct basic testing and validation of battery systems and components. The engineer will design and build prototypes to prove out design concepts and conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of battery systems related to your components. In this role, you will participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- 1-5 years of mechanical design experience
- Knowledge of HV systems and design practices
- Solid background in CAD / tolerance stack / GD&T (NX experience preferred)
- Experience developing parts with various manufacturing processes
- Knows how to use simplified tools, calculations, CAE to quickly drive development.
