Cinterra is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our growing renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar power systems, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of solar mounting systems, panels, and related mechanical components on various sites
- Conduct site assessments and prepare installation plans in collaboration with project managers
- Perform mechanical assembly, alignment, and fastening of solar equipment according to specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during and after installation
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
- Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities and equipment used
- Support routine maintenance and inspections of installed solar systems
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical installation, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects
- Knowledge of mechanical tools, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent physical condition and ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Relevant certifications or training in mechanical systems, construction, or solar installation is a plus

- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
- Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.
- Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels.
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
