Turn Your Passion for Wildlife into a Career That Inspires Millions
Do you thrive in animal care leadership, love mentoring the next generation of keepers, and want your work to support conservation on a global scale? Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Keeper - Ambassador Animals to help lead exceptional animal care and elevate guest connection through ambassador species.

What You'll Do
As a Senior Keeper, you'll be a trusted leader within the Life Sciences team, working closely with Curatorial staff while serving as a go-to expert for animal care and husbandry practices. Your impact will be felt daily-by animals, colleagues, interns, and guests alike.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver exceptional daily animal care including feedings, treatments, enrichment, exhibit maintenance, and water quality monitoring.
- Serve as a role model and mentor, setting the standard for high-quality husbandry and animal welfare.
- Lead and support training efforts for staff, interns, and volunteers.
- Develop and advance behavioral training and enrichment programs in collaboration with veterinary and curatorial teams.
- Act as a point person for husbandry questions, offering guidance and support to developing keepers.
- Assist with daily and weekly operations, team projects, and animal welfare concerns.
- Participate in AZA initiatives, conservation programs, and professional development opportunities.
- Step into leadership and decision-making roles when Curatorial staff are not present.
