Retail Crew - Casual
Located in the heart of Western Sydney, Sydney Zoo strives to showcase a broad range of native and exotic animals using technology and advanced exhibit design, with a strong focus on animal welfare, conservation, and educating our visitors about animals and their habitats. Environmental and social awareness play a vital role in our message that highlights the indigenous culture and human influence on the environment.
The Position
This is an outstanding opportunity to join the exciting team at Sydney Zoo in the role of one of our Retail Crew, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about. This role will commence as soon as possible.
The Retail Crew is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and the sale of retail products within the retail areas of Sydney. With a variety of start and finish times in Retail, including work in the evenings/ night for special events and functions from time to time, the ability to get to and from work with limited public transport needs to be considered.
Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience
ESSENTIAL
- Outgoing and friendly personality, with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
- Must have good availability for rosters.
- Demonstrated judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills (written & verbal).
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience operating registers, POS systems and cash handling.
- Previous experience in a Retail business
- Previous experience in Customer Service
