JOB OVERVIEW:
Are you passionate about wildlife conservation and inspiring others to connect with nature? The District is seeking a dedicated Wildlife Resource Center Specialist to play a key role in caring for native wildlife while engaging the community in meaningful environmental education.
In this position, you will play an integral part in wildlife rehabilitation, captive propagation and rearing efforts of the Wildlife Resource Center, helping injured and orphaned animals receive the care they need. Beyond hands-on wildlife care, you will also design and deliver engaging environmental education programs for the public throughout the District's service area.
What are we looking for? Looking for an individual with a bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in biology, zoology, animal health or related field (e.g. wildlife management) in the profession; one-year (1) related experience and/or training involving some aspect of the management of wildlife facilities including experience or training in volunteer management; six (6) months experience in environmental/educational programming; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
