Washington County Water Conservancy District has a sizeable array of water infrastructure assets including wells, engines, pump stations, pipelines, valves and more. We're looking for a point person to compile and organize information about these assets to help forecast and coordinate maintenance and replacement.
- ARC GIS experience necessary - the asset management software system (OpenGov) has a significant GIS component.
- Open Gov experience helpful, but not required.
- Water Infrastructure experience a plus.
Position Description:
- Provides professional support to the Operations and Planning Department with planning, developing, designing and deploying the district’s asset management system (AMS) to enhance Operation and Maintenance (O & M) capabilities.
- Develops and maintains database of district assets. Assists in collecting, gathering, and compiling asset data.
- Collaborates with water operators and maintenance staff to establish and improve forms and templates for asset maintenance tickets and condition assessment.
- Utilizes as-built drawings, plans and documents to facilitate asset entry into CMMS database. Participates in technical initiatives related to analysis, design, programming, testing, installation, and maintenance of asset management systems, including integration of connected district databases.
- Oversees, reviews, analyzes and approves the CMMS data input from other District employees. Works with operations and maintenance staff to facilitate data entry and work order processing.
- Coordinates with and provides support for the GIS program to improve coordination between the GIS and CMMS. Prepares maps, charts, diagrams, and other products using CMMS and GIS.
- Coordinates activities and collaborates with all other departments. Works closely with the district’s IT staff
and assists in the implementation of CMMS with enterprise IT systems.
Education, Training and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree with emphasis in STEM related field such as GIS, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Planning, Information Systems, or a related field.
AND
- Two (2) years of related experience
OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience to the above will also be considered.
Special Qualifications:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Utah Driver’s License and maintain insurability under the district’s vehicle insurance policy.
- Must be willing to take and must pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to a criminal background check.
