Senior Project Manager - Electrical Power

Deep Wind Offshore sees large opportunities in the Swedish market for offshore wind power and has therefore launched a subsidiary in Sweden. With long coastlines and good wind resources, the conditions for offshore wind power are excellent in Sweden. In addition, the need for renewable energy is large and increasing. The availability of new renewable energy will be crucial for electrifying society and building new green value chains.

The Swedish government realise the potential of offshore wind and are aiming for a total of 120 TWh over time. With projects of significant size, Deep Wind Offshore can be a major contributor to achieving these goals.

We are now recruiting a Senior Project Manager in Electrical Power. An exiting opportunity to shape the offshore wind sector in Sweden!

The main ​​responsibility in the position is project manager for power cables from our projects, including the overall electrical setup and infrastructure of the offshore wind farms. This includes the design of grid connections and interfaces, studies and analyses as well as follow-up of suppliers and various stakeholders and partners. You will work with projects in all stages, from early prospects through to commissioning and beyond.

Deep Wind Offshore is looking for an experienced and senior engineer who wants to work with electrical engineering in a developing and interdisciplinary environment. You have many years of experience and a burning desire to help shape the offshore wind sector together with a dedicated team.

• Project Management related to power cables, substations, and grid connections of the offshore wind farms (OWF’s) Erik Segersäll and Olof Skötkonung.
• Follow-up of studies and work carried out internally as well as by external consultants engaged in the different work packages.
• Participate in and interface with the design of electrical infrastructure within the wind farms as well as the substations.
• Dialogue with internal and external stakeholders about needs, plans, risk and decisions related to power cables and connections.
• Identification of long lead items related to power cables and substations as well as of suppliers of such. Contact and follow up relevant suppliers, e.g. WTG, cables, substations etc.
• Responsible for the overall electrical power design of offshore wind farms
• Network connection and interface with network operator
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about needs, plans, risks and decisions
• Feasibility assessments when qualifying new sites and project opportunities in Sweden our other target markets
• Project finance, budget and reporting
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide continuous feedback and improvements to development strategy, processes and other optimization opportunities.

Deep Wind Offshore's projects in Sweden are managed from the local office and the position will be placed in Gävle or Uppsala

Profile

• Electrical Engineer or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years' experience from project management within electrical power
• Experience and knowledge in areas such as grids, substations and high-voltage cables
• Experience in design and analyses of power systems
• Experience from the wind power industry or other power production is a bonus
• Fluent in professional English, written and spoken
