Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical strength rating is classified as medium work, which entails exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Environmental conditions for this position are extremely wide-ranging and may include indoor and outdoor work; extreme heat and cold; fumes, odors, toxic conditions, dust, poor ventilation, humidity, loud noise, vibration, wet conditions, and various other hazards. This position frequently requires protective equipment for the eyes, feet, and head, and may occasionally require protection for the arms, hearing, full body, legs, respiratory system, and skin.
The employee must be able to understand basic and shop math, technical reports and instructions, business letters, and simple memos. The ability to write and present summaries, business letters, formal presentations, and simple memos is required. The employee must be able to operate a computer, manual and power hand tools, a telephone, a headset or headphones, and a hand calculator. The employee is regularly required to commute by vehicle between the assigned site and other company or customer locations, as needed.
