The Environmental & Facilities Specialist is an entry/mid-level position that will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the operation and sustainability of our facility. This role combines expertise in facility management with a focus on environmental stewardship to ensure our operations are efficient, compliant, and eco-friendly.
- Assists with small to medium-sized projects. Responsibilities include detailed project planning/monitoring, budgeting, project reviews, implementation, validation, and release to production.
- Coordinate external contractors to perform work in a cost effective and safe manner.
- Identify and implement improvement projects to increase facility/equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in evaluating system conditions and developing long term obsolescence and sustainability plans.
- Assist in creating and modifying the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program by rationalizing maintenance planning activities with the maintenance teams within the assigned area(s) to drive and improve sustainable plant/equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with maintenance team by distributing PM and Work Orders. Cooperate with team leads and skilled tradesmen to properly plan work orders, material management and task estimating for projects.
- Assist in reduction of company risk and liability in all aspects of environmental best practices.
- Assists in a variety of duties to include, sampling, observations, training and inspections.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations.
- Work with stakeholders in the organization during space planning, building expansions and/or other changes in facilities or work areas to ensure EHS requirements and regulations are met.
- Assists with root cause analysis when EHS incidents occur and recommends corrective action where environmental hazards exist.
- Responsible for monitoring and driving sustainability initiatives.
Level and pay for this position with be commensurate with education / experience.
