We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President in our Sustainability Hub to drive sustainability commercialization and client platform engagement. This is a HYBRID role located in New York City.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Manage proactive and reactive partnerships with client platforms to understand dimensions of client demands and preferences and execute opportunities to meet them
- Position sustainability as a commercial opportunity within our client platforms’ value propositions and help define our market presence
- Work with Client Service to embed sustainability into reporting and client management tools, dashboards, and AI agents
- Communicate concrete, research-backed insights and recommendations to client platform leaders to support commercial decision-making
- Own end-to-end workstreams – from strategy to process development and execution – and report succinct, high-level progress updates to cross-functional leads and executives
- Cascade clear directions and strategic considerations to junior staff and peers, delegating deliveries with intention and proactivity
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 7+ years of experience in sustainable finance, ESG integration, commercialization and/or business development; previous role at a bank / in financial services preferred; direct client experience a plus
- A strong client-centric mindset with the ability to connect dots
- Proven track record of conceptualizing complex topics into business-relevant takeaways
- Rigorous time management and ease under pressure
- Excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of AI use cases to support research, analysis, and product development
- Bachelor's degree required

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $160,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
