About the Position
We have an excellent opportunity available for a Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The role of the Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer is in the EAST region, in the HSE department. This role reports to the EHS Manager. You’ll be working in a high-performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare environment-related reports
- Study of waste management
- Performing risk assessments and documentation in ISO 14001
- Coordinating and tracking wastewater treatment process
- Lead operations in the scope of environmental management
- Conducting and/or coordinating the required execute environmental training
- EHS training to increase safety culture and environmental awareness.
- Assist in the management of ISO 45001 certification of Site, joint health and safety committees, incident analysis, regular inspections, safety orientation, and safety observation programs
- Ensuring local EHS legislation and company EHS standards are fully implemented at the plant.
- Assist in the implementation of all safety and environmental-related policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policy, including emergency procedures, hazardous waste management, safety system program plan or equivalent, and accident investigations,
- Carrying out EHS inspections throughout the plant.
- Track related rules and regulations
- Coordinating and verifying improvement plans and corrective actions.
- Reporting all accidents, and near misses and making root cause analysis.
- Reporting accidents to management, group EHS team and related local authorities.
- Perform job analyses / hazard identification and risk assessment and developing safe work procedures as it pertains to employees' and contractors' job tasks, equipment, tools and special projects,
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering.
- Class A Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Responsible Certificate ( A Sınıfı Endüstriyel Atık Su Arıtma Tesisi İşletmeci Belgesi )
- Water and Wastewater Sampling Certificate (Su ve Atıksu Numune Alma Sertifikası)
- Class C Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate from the Ministry of Labor
- Holder of Environmental Expertise Certificate
- Holder of Wastewater treatment plant responsible certificate
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a multinational manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of legislation and business processes in environmental health and safety systems, ecology and environmental protection, industrial safety
- Comprehensive health, safety and environmental management knowledge
- EHS training, experience in OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Management Systems
- Excellent communication skills with strong teamwork and team leadership ability
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- Preferably to have a dangerous goods safety consultancy certificate
