Job Statement
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Environment & Sustainability to lead and embed best‑practice environmental management and sustainability across our portfolio. Based in Perth and reporting to the Executive General Manager – Development, this newly created senior role is pivotal in enabling responsible growth, supporting project development, and ensuring compliance and performance across operations and future projects.
You will provide strategic leadership across environment, approvals, sustainability and ESG, working closely with Growth, Technical Services, Operations and Corporate teams to deliver outcomes that balance value creation with environmental stewardship and community expectations.
The Opportunity:
Lead the company’s environmental and sustainability strategy, policies and systems across exploration, development and operations.
Oversee environmental approvals, permitting and regulatory compliance for growth projects and existing operations.
Partner with the Growth team to integrate environmental and sustainability considerations into project evaluation, design and execution.
Provide technical guidance on environmental risk, impact assessment, rehabilitation, closure planning and biodiversity management.
Drive continuous improvement in environmental performance, assurance and reporting.
Lead ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting and external disclosures in line with regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
Build strong relationships with regulators, government agencies and key external stakeholders.
Develop, lead and mentor a high‑performing environment and sustainability team.

Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant senior‑level experience in environment and sustainability roles within the mining or resources sector.
Demonstrated experience leading environmental approvals and supporting project development and growth.
Strong knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to influence at executive level and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Commercially astute, solutions‑focused and able to balance risk, compliance and value creation
