Join a growing renewable energy team where your expertise will directly impact system performance and reliability. Our client is seeking a skilled Solar Technician to ensure optimal performance, maintenance, and safety of solar PV and BESS installations.
Job Description:
- Monitor and optimise system performance to maximise efficiency and uptime
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar and BESS systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control faults
- Provide technical support and assist with system upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Respond to emergency callouts and field operations when required
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety standards
Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of PV system components and BESS systems
- Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in solar and battery storage environments
- Proficient in electrical circuits, grounding, power distribution, and wiring regulations
- Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, and protection relays
- Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops
- Strong safety awareness and hazard identification
- Good computer literacy and reporting skills
- Willingness to respond to site callouts
Qualification:
- Minimum Electrical Trade Test Certificate
- Wireman’s License (Advantageous)
