Role Overview
This is a rare opportunity to lead a greenfield solar cell manufacturing project worth â¹1,000+ Cr in Surat, Gujarat. Backed by a diversified business group with established ventures in real estate, infrastructure, chemicals, aviation, and renewable energy, this role provides a platform to drive scale, innovation, and operational excellence in a rapidly evolving industry. The CEO will be at the forefront of establishing a state-of-the-art TopCon technology facility with 3.08 GW annual capacity, delivering impact at both national and global levels.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Scale: Define and execute a scalable roadmap for market leadership in solar cell manufacturing.
Greenfield Execution: Oversee complete setup and commissioning of the 3.08 GW TopCon facility.
Operational Excellence: Drive performance benchmarks in OEE, yield, energy efficiency, and cost-per-watt.
Financial Leadership: Full P&L ownership, capital allocation, and transparent investor communication.
Innovation & Technology: Lead NPI initiatives, technology upgrades, and global OEM/R&D partnerships.
People & Culture: Build and mentor high-performing teams across all business functions.
Governance & Risk: Establish robust governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
Business Development: Expand market presence domestically and internationally through partnerships and strategic initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
20+ years in high-tech, process-driven industries.
Minimum 5+ years in solar cell manufacturing, semiconductors, or advanced materials sectors.
Proven record in executing projects worth â¹1,000 Cr or more, including end-to-end greenfield execution.
Education
Skills & Attributes
Strategic vision with strong execution capabilities.
Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM practices.
Hands-on exposure to MES, inline metrology, and advanced automation systems.
Strong financial acumen and stakeholder management.
