Job Description Summary
The Senior Services Region Director is responsible for driving growth, strategy, and operational excellence for the GE Vernova–Hitachi Nuclear Energy Services team in Mexico. This role oversees full-cycle services execution for CFE in Laguna Verde and leads all customer-facing activities. It is an on-site position based in Veracruz, Mexico. Candidates must be able to travel internationally for training and other critical business needs.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Power of Attorney for the GE Vernova Hitachi International - Mexico Branch
· Inquiry to Order (ITO) and Order to Remittance (OTR) commercial and operational ownership for the Installed Base including Outage Services, Parts, Engineered Solutions, Plant Modifications & Services, and Fuels.
· Serve as the primary customer interface promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Manage concerns, obligations, and partner to solve problems.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry organizations.
· Drive financial performance by ensuring accurate estimates and strong cost/schedule execution with the field delivery team.
· Site Project Director Responsibilities including Site Leadership across GVH product lines, project managers, and vendors.
· Manage full-cycle manager responsibilities of local support staff.
· Act as subject matter expert on local employment and industry regulations.
· Ensure field execution during reactor outage in-vessel maintenance windows.
· Champion Lean practices, cultural transformation, and technology innovation (NPI/NTI).
· Develop and execute succession plans and build technical subject matter expertise across product lines.
· Partner with customers to manage contractual obligations driven by local labor force.
· Other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in technical fields (Engineering, Science, or related discipline) with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership role in the nuclear industry
Eligibility Requirements:
· This position is based in Veracruz MX. Candidate must be within driving distance to the CFE Plant in order to provide daily onsite support.
· Ability and willingness to travel frequently (25% or more), including internationally
Desired Qualifications:
· Experience working with CFE (Comision Federal de Electricidad)
· Experience with BWRVIP, ASME Section XI, and ISI programs in nuclear plants.
· Experience supporting BWR Balance of Plant Modifications
· Prior BWR site experience and detailed plant outage planning/scheduling.
· Knowledge of GVH nuclear products, customers, and competitors.
· Strong strategic planning and execution abilities.
· Financial acumen with understanding of sales, costs, margins, and ERP systems (Oracle, Cognos).
· Deep technical expertise in Inspection and Outage Services, including tooling and field technologies.
· Strong customer relationship skills and ability to interact with all levels of nuclear plant leadership.
· Demonstrated project management, presentation, and communication skills.
· Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop high-performing teams in dynamic environments.
· Ability to identify and resolve complex issues, manage programs, and implement technical solutions effectively.
