Job Description

Position Title: Sr Engineer

Qualification: B.Tech-Utilities / Instrumentation & Automation

Experience: 5-7 years

Location: Dholera, Gujarat

Must Have : Hands-on experience with Siemens PCS 7 DCS, PLCs, SCADA, FMCS integration.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Operation & Maintenance:Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of field instruments, analysers, control valves, DCS/PLC panels, and SCADA systems.Troubleshoot instrumentation faults to minimize downtime and ensure smooth plant operations.Ensure compliance with calibration standards and maintain updated calibration records.

✅ Project Execution:Actively participate in design and engineering phases of utility projects (DI/UPW, ETP/STP, BMS, CDA, HVAC, PGS, PEX, fire protection, chemical handling systems, exhaust/scrubbers).Review and approve technical documents – TDS, datasheets, wiring diagrams, GADs, loop drawings.Supervise site installation and commissioning of instruments, junction boxes, cabling, and control panels.Attend FAT for DCS/PLC/FMCS systems and coordinate with vendors to resolve punch points.Support integration of utilities with FMCS/SCADA and manufacturing tools.Ensure timely closure of project activities with documentation and handover.

✅ System Monitoring:Monitor control loops, alarms, and system health on SCADA/DCS/PLC platforms.Ensure proper logging and reporting of operational parameters.

✅ Team Coordination & Guidance:Guide and mentor shift engineers and technicians on troubleshooting, safe work practices, and technical upgrades.Plan shift schedules and ensure manpower availability.

✅ Documentation:Prepare DPRs, maintenance logs, IMS documentation, SOPs, and project completion reports.

✅ Safety & Compliance:Ensure safe execution of work and compliance with site safety standards.Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and provide suggestions for continual improvement.

✅ Spares & Budget:Support annual O&M budgeting for instrumentation.Maintain critical spare parts inventory by coordinating with SCM for timely procurement.

Key Skills & Expertise:

Strong technical knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems for utilities.

Sound understanding of control philosophies, logic development, loop tuning, and troubleshooting.Good experience in executing projects: engineering review, installation supervision, vendor coordination, and commissioning.

Strong communication, documentation, and team management skills.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and standard instrumentation tools.

Safe and trouble-free operation and maintenance of utility equipment -pumps, Cooling towers, Gearbox, Compressors, Chillers, DI Plant, ETP, Exhaust, CDS (Chemical Dispensing System) etc.
