Body Controls Engineer

We are currently seeking a Body Controls Engineer. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
You Will:
- Develop control logic for body-related vehicle features using AUTOSAR standards.
- Develop requirements and test cases in Model based environment such as MATLAB / Simulink.
- Support Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and ISO 26262 compliance by analyzing equipment failures, diagnosing faulty operation, and recommending corrective actions across software and hardware domains.
- Work in cross-functional teams to improve and/or develop a simulation model/platform to analyze, optimize and troubleshoot various aspects of the vehicle.
- Develop diagnostic interfaces to report faulty operation & execute appropriate fault reaction via Automotive UDS protocol.
- Conduct vehicle‑level testing and calibration for electromechanical assemblies.
- Support Vehicle bring-up activities related to Body functions and features.
- Analyze testing data collected on vehicle & subsystem level prototypes to refine control strategies for improving performance and reliability.
- Work with factory manufacturing team to design functional checks for electromechanical assemblies.
- Participate in the design of a world-class engineering effort to bring electric vehicles to a new level of refinement
You Bring:
- Working knowledge of model-based design and experience using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
- Solid understanding of Automatic Control Systems, with a firm grasp of classical control theory tools like compensator design and PID tuning
- 1+ years of experience with automotive control systems
- Good understanding of C/C++
- Experience with failure analysis methodology like FMEA and fault trees
- Experience with defining/interpreting requirements
- Experience in working with cross functional teams
- Creativity in your design, ability to build stuff with your hands and great communication skills.
Advantageous:
- Understanding of ISO 26262 and Autosar
- Experience in designing controllers for electric vehicle systems
- Expertise in complex control strategies like Adaptive control, Robust control, etc.
- Experience with CAN analysis tools like CANalyzer, and CANape
- Experience with Embedded coder in Matlab/Simulink
Education Requirements:
- BS minimum, in the areas of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive systems, or other related fields.
