The Tennessee Aquarium, rated the best aquarium in America for overall guest satisfaction, attracts over 750,000 visitors each year. As a Guest Services Associate, you will provide an excellent level of customer care by anticipating and meeting the needs of all our visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Connects with visitors from various backgrounds to ensure a positive, high level of customer service throughout their visit.
- Addresses complaints and provides prompt service recovery in a calm and professional manner.
- Regularly rotates between each designated post throughout the River Journey and Ocean Journey buildings; maintains a working knowledge of each area to adequately assist and educate visitors and ensure efficient operations.
- Ensures the smooth flow of visitors throughout the Aquarium buildings by directing visitors, alleviating crowds, monitoring elevators and escalators, etc.
- Monitors and ensures the safety of our animals and visitors at each touch tank by squeegeeing, clearly communicating the rules, and quickly responding to incidents
- Communicates professionally via a two-way radio.
- Addresses large groups of visitors of varying ages and backgrounds with confidence and professionalism while using a microphone.
- Upholds all safety protocols in a professional manner; provides assistance during emergency situations, monitors both buildings and the plaza area, and reports any safety concerns to the appropriate individual(s) in a timely manner.

Seasonal, hourly ($15/hour); March – September; holidays, weekends, and extended-hours shifts are required as needed.
