LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The Helpdesk Technician Internship serves as an opportunity to receive hands-on training in the IT Department. Under general supervision, the Helpdesk Technician Intern will assist with technology issues received through the IT helpdesk. This position will help organize, maintain, and prioritize helpdesk tickets, as well as assist with various other IT projects.
TIME COMMITMENT:
This is a 2-month summer internship, working up to 40 hours per week. The schedule for this internship primarily occurs Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00pm, but may occasionally require weekend or evening hours. Specific start and end dates may vary based upon individual availability and departmental needs.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Interns are responsible for arranging their own transportation and housing.

Organizes, maintains, and responds to IT helpdesk tickets, including:
- Responding to helpdesk tickets and providing basic IT support for personnel.
- Prioritizing tickets and communicating larger issues to Full Time Helpdesk Technician.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Actively pursuing technical education/certification.
- EXPERIENCE:
- Basic PC repair and troubleshooting experience desired.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10-11 desired.
- Experience with Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Can move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Assistance depending upon task.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as the ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evening hours, and holidays, in all weather extremes.
- Must pass a background and drug screening.
