The Senior Donor Communications Officer is primarily responsible for leading the development of and producing communications materials to engage, solicit and steward individual, corporate and institutional donors with the capacity to give at the $5 million+ level.
The Senior Donor Communications Officer helps achieve the strategic priorities of the Donor Communications Team in close cooperation with the Donor Relations Department. They support the Director as needed regarding strategy, project management and team outreach. They play a leadership role in developing and disseminating key organizational messages to the Donor Communications Team and among other teams and program staff. The Senior Donor Communications Officer works in close cooperation with any or all of the following: members of the Donor Relations Team, Global Development fundraisers, Global Priority managing directors and program staff, Marketing and Internal Communications staff, Executive Team members, Legal and Finance staff, individual donors and foundation program officers, contract writers and designers, vendors and others as needed. They provide advice, recommendations and training related to donor communications and stewardship. The Senior Donor Communications Officer may also be responsible for representing TNC amongst the Enduring Earth partner organizations and related donor communications initiatives.
The Senior Donor Communications Officer maintains up-to-date, expert knowledge of donor communications tools and practices; applies that knowledge to the organization’s fundraising goals and acts as a resource for other team members. They are responsible for maintaining close relationships with leadership of closely aligned teams in Marketing, Communications and Conservation to ensure consistency of organizational messaging and materials and to foster greater organizational collaboration. They support Executive Team fundraising by maintaining close relationships with Global Priority Managing Directors and their associated teams, and ensuring these teams have the necessary materials, training and support as they engage with the organization’s top donors.

What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination.
Experience analyzing and interpreting complex information or data and translating it into compelling content.
Experience negotiating complex agreements and/or partnerships.
Experience with current and evolving technology in relevant field.
Experience working with teams across global organizations.
Experience, coursework, or other training in principles, practices, and procedures of relevant field.
Salary Information:
This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range for this position is generally within the range of $94,350 - $137,450 for annual base salary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be in local currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market, and not tied to the above pay range. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment and used to determine your actual pay range. Additionally, for all applicants, actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors including, for example, the candidate’s qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
