Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to lead a crew of employees responsible for performing janitorial, custodial and laborer work, while completing various assigned cleaning tasks from the Custodial Supervisor. The incumbent will perform their gardener work based on seasonal schedules, or project plans.
Major Duties
Able to make independent decisions and direct onsite actions of maintenance staff in accordance with the assigned responsibilities and without direct input from management staff. Keeps in touch with status and progress of work and makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities, obtaining assistance from the supervisor on problems that may arise, such as backlogs that cannot be disposed promptly Assist supervisor with providing evaluation, oversight, and direction to contractors. Perform duties primary on second or third shift. Determining on site methods to be used in the accomplishment of assignments issued by the higher-level supervisor, passing onto other workers' instructions and needed information or decisions received from supervisors and makes site adjustments as needed. Checking work, including safety, to be sure it is done properly. What is Career-Seasonal: Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately 6-9 months (or more depending on the park) and you will be in a non-pay status for approximately 3-6 months (or less depending on the park). Non pay status is dependent on the location of the position being hired.
