Summary
This position is located in ZION National Park; Resources Management and Visitor Protection Division in Springdale, Utah The incumbent of this position will carry out fire suppression and prevention duties in support of the overall structural fire program, and serve as first responder. These are Career Seasonal positions and will be in non-pay status one pay period (two weeks) each year. Major Duties
Performs comprehensive patient assessments and delivers appropriate emergency medical care. Conducts and interprets EKGs in accordance with certification and local protocols. Performs advanced airway management, including supraglottic airway placement and endotracheal intubation with secondary confirmation methods. Initiates IV access and administers fluids and medications per established protocols. Assists paramedics during advanced life support (ALS) interventions. Operates and maintains emergency medical equipment and response apparatus. Responds to fire, EMS, hazardous materials, and life safety incidents to protect life and property. Performs fire suppression, rescue operations, and hazard mitigation. Develops, implements, and supports fire protection and prevention programs. Trains personnel in fire safety, prevention, and emergency response procedures.
