Summary

The typical season for this position is May - October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. The anticipated entry on duty is May 2026.
Major Duties
Duties of the position include but are not limited to the following: Conducts research to develop interpretive programs for visitors, present both formal and informal activities, such as orientation talks and environmental education. Educate visitors about park facilities and resources, assist with special events and celebrations, and operate various audiovisual equipment. Educate visitors about front country and backcountry regulations. Schedule, compile reports, and gather statistical data. Conducts outreach programs outside the park to promote the agency's mission and resource conservation. Manage logistics for education programs, maintain inventories and supplies and visitor centers, and coordinates with other National Park Service offices and community organizations to facilitate visitor inquiries and permitting services.
